Premier Pediatrics of Houston has now been serving the North Houston community for over 6 years and is conveniently located in the Lantern Bend Medical Plaza at the corner of Cypress Station & 1960, behind the Kroger Shopping Center. With convenient office hours Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 6:00PM and Saturdays from 8:00AM to 12:00PM. We are here to serve your family's need. We offer same day sick appointments. We accept Medicaid and most commercial insurances including BCBS, United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, UMR, Multiplan, Coventry, Molina, First Health and Tricare. My kids love her and they used to hate to go to the doctor. Now they ask to go see Dr. Knight when they get sick. She is very fun and loving. She cares about the well being of the entire family. She's even called and scheduled an appointment for me with a doctor she knows when I wasn't feeling well one day in the office. She goes above and beyond!

Shun Again 5 star- ~I love Dr. Knight. She is really well with my kids. I am always in and out. If I need my kids to be seen, I don't have to wait an outrageous time and can usually get in the same or next day.

Erica Morales June 26 at 1:40pm- You go above and beyond for your patients, and I just want to thank you. I came in extremely worried and upset. You made Steven laugh, carried him to his car seat and strapped him up tightly. Completely calmed my nerves. Who else would walk their patient out to the parking lot, strap them in and give us a lesson on car seat safety. Only a loving and dedicated pediatrician would. We love Dr. Knight. You are amazing.

Dr. Tamecka Knight is an Alabama native and a well-respected board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with over 16 years of experience. She is the Chief Executive Officer and owner of Premier Pediatrics of Houston, PLLC. Owning one of only very few nurse practitioner owned pediatric practices in the city, Dr. Knight hopes to set the stage for the future of pediatric healthcare. Utilizing her knowledge as a doctorate-prepared nurse practitioner, her culturally competent expertise working with low income and other disadvantaged populations, and her international experiences and exchange with healthcare in South Africa, Dr. Knight has proven herself as an innovator and trailblazer not only for nurse practitioners, but for the future of healthcare.

Dr. Knight graduated with honors from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She then earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Emory University in Atlanta and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from The University of Alabama. Dr. Knight aids in bridging the gap between education and clinical practice by being a preceptor for not only nursing and nurse practitioner students, but for physician assistants and medical students as well.

Dr. Knight was nominated as one of the Top 50 Health, Medical, and Wellness Professionals in Houston and has been selected to participate in the nationally recognized Doctors on the Runway. Dr. Knight is currently enrolled in the highly competitive Harvard University Pediatric Leadership Program. She also serves as President Elect of the North Harris Montgomery Advanced Practice Nurse Society, where she will soon take on the roll of President.
